Salto do Rio Preto

The Salto do Rio Preto 120m has enticing waters, especially on warm days, although bathing is not permitted there. From the Mirante dos Saltos, a lookout, you are free to take as many pictures and inhale as much of the ferocious nature as you choose. Salto do Rio Preto is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Brazil.

On the other hand, you have to take a moderately difficult trekking trail to get to this lookout. As you might have guessed, Salto do Rio Preto 80m is one of the waterfalls on this journey. It is a little bit shorter than the 120m because it dips 80 meters.

About 11 kilometers long, round-trip, the Saltos Trail is worth a full day to explore thoroughly. After walking about 4 km, you will reach Mirante do Salto 120m long. It's one of the highlights of the trail, as from there a Salto do Rio Preto waterfall can be seen. Going about 800m more, you come to Salto de 80m, where you can take a dip in the river.
