Grand Anse Waterfall

After visiting Sauzier Waterfall and Port Launay Waterfalls, you might want to stop by the Grand Anse Waterfall on the west side of Mahe Island. Even though the trek to this waterfall is challenging, there are some small fees you'll have to pay to visit this waterfall, including an entrance fee on weekdays(around 25 rupees per person), and a guiding fee for local guides(around 150 rupees per person). However, the experience you have after visiting this waterfall will make it all worth it!

Grand Anse Waterfall is famous for having a stair-like structure that cascades into a deep pool of dark-colored fresh water. The water is clear and a bit cold, but very refreshing to swim and dive. However, there are some big rocks inside the pool that are not easy to see from above, so don't jump in the pool without letting the local guide know, or you'll very likely hurt yourself and ruin your trip. If you're not a fan of swimming, this is a nice place for taking impressive pictures.

The path to the Grand Anse Waterfall is long and a bit difficult to reach, that's why you will need a local guide. Propriate hiking shoes are much needed.
