Port Launay Waterfalls

Another beautiful natural waterfall on the Mahe island is the Port Launay Waterfall, or Port Glaud Waterfall. this waterfall is located just 1 km from the main road on the west coast of Mahe island, so it is also a very accessible waterfall that you should check out if you have a chance to be in Seychelles. According to many tourists, this waterfall is "the most impressive waterfall in Seychelles," or "one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Seychelles."

Port Launay Waterfall is a tall waterfall with crystal clear water. The clear water makes a beautiful freshwater pool next to the waterfall which is best for swimming, especially on hot days when the weather is humid. Many people love coming here to relax on the cooling water and listen to the sounds of birds in the tropical forest surrounding the waterfall.

Located in the wetlands of Port Launay, this waterfall is also very close to Port Launay's mangrove forest which is famous for being a splendid environment for various kinds of fishes, birds, and the endangered Sheath-tailed Bat. Therefore, it could be a great idea to visit this forest after you are done relaxing and taking photographs in the Port Launay Waterfall.
