Honda Motor

Honda Motor is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Minato district, Tokyo. Honda was the first Japanese auto manufacturer to introduce a separate line of luxury vehicles. The Acura lineup, introduced in 1986, created many Honda models that were more powerful and sportier than other Honda models.

The company started producing cars in 1960 with the intention of mainly the Japanese market. Despite participating in many international motorcycle races, its cars are still difficult to sell in the US. Since the car was designed for Japanese consumers, it did not attract the attention of American consumers. Then, Honda finally got a foothold in the American car market in 1972 when they introduced the Civic.
