Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong International Airport is the city's primary airport, built on reclaimed ground on Chek Lap Kok Island. To distinguish it from its predecessor, the previous Kai Tak Airport, the airport is sometimes known as Chek Lap Kok International Airport or Chek Lap Kok Airport.
The Airport Authority (AA) is in charge of the day-to-day operations and development of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The bulk of services connected to the airport's operating duties are provided by business partners such as franchisees, licensees, and tenants. As a result, the AA takes an airport-wide strategy to go outside its immediate sphere of influence and aggressively engage airport business partners to work on various sustainability concerns. Different channels are used for regular contact and involvement with the airport community.
Climate change is having an influence all around the world, with countries experiencing more frequent and intense extreme weather events. Given the airport's position and the significance of its operations to Hong Kong and the surrounding area, the Airport Authority (AA) recognizes the necessity of monitoring, planning, and preparing for climate change and the effects it may have on HKIA's operations and future growth. And that's why HKIA is ranked as the greatest airport in the world.
What makes HIKA so popular, aside from the fact that it’s less than five flying hours away from half of the world’s population, is the cleanliness, great dining and efficient baggage delivery. If you have a long layover, you might enjoy the nine-hole golf course and great shopping opportunities.
