The excellent storyline, the talented ensemble, and especially the hot-tempered chemistry of the lead characters gave the film a powerful resonance. I hear your voice is a significant turning point in Lee Bo Young's acting career.
The film opens with a case from many years ago in which Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young) just so happened to be a witness to a murder that was misdiagnosed as a car accident. Min Joon Guk, the case's perpetrator, threatened her, saying he would exact retribution once he was freed. When Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), the victim's 10-year-old son, learned of this, he made a commitment to defend Hye Sung from the murderer. As the years go by, Soo Ha develops the power to read people's minds, which turns her into a mutant. He still wishes to see Hye Sung in order to keep his earlier vow. Since then, their "sister" love has also been developing over time. In the film, Lee Bo Young created a lawyer who had a demeanor that was upbeat yet haughty, reckless, and ecstatically reflecting the character's psychological transformations in a very delicate way. Together with Lee Jong Suk, the duo portrayed a tender and sincere sisterly love story that left a lasting impression on viewers.
