Mother (2018)

As Soo Jin, a migratory ornithologist serving as a temporary homeroom teacher in Hye Na's (Heo Yool) class, Lee Bo Young assumes the role of this character. Because of a difficult time she had previously had with her mother, which led to her obsession, Soo Jin had never thought she would make a decent mother.

However, when discovering that Hye Na showed signs of being abused by her biological mother and her mother's lover, Soo Jin chose to become Hye Na's mother. But she made a bold decision to fake a disappearance and then fly away with Hye Na. Faced with this situation, Soo Jin couldn't avoid the trouble of carrying a baby without adult consent. However, during the escape, there were also moments of peace between the two. This Korean drama has really touched the hearts of viewers – mothers and society. During the press conference for the film "Mother", Bo Young also cried when sharing that she decided to participate in this film in the hope of raising people's awareness about the issue of child abuse.
