Jeffrey Preston Bezos (born January 12, 1964) is an American businessman, industrialist, media owner, and investor. Bezos is best known as the founder, CEO and chairman of the multinational company Amazon.


Bezos is included in the first "centibillionaire" list according to the wealth assessment from Forbes, the richest person in the world since 2017 and was named "richest person in modern history" after valuing his fortune increased to $150 Billion USD in July 2018.


In September 2018, Forbes described Jeff Bezos as "richer than anyone else on the planet" as his fortune increased by $1.8 billion as Amazon became the second company in history to reach a market cap of 1 billion USD.
