Jessica Brown-Findlay

Jessica Brown-Findlay, an English actress, is well-known for playing Lady Sybil Crawley in Downton Abbey and other productions. She was first, though, a dancer. She received training from the National Youth Ballet and the Associates of the Royal Ballet, and at the age of 15, she received an invitation to perform with the Kirov for a summer season at the Royal Opera House.

She was a student at Maidenhead's Furze Platt Senior School. She was admitted to several ballet schools after receiving her GCSEs, but she decided to attend the Arts Educational School because of the A-level courses it offered and its pastoral care. She spent two years there. In the second, she underwent three ankle surgeries, the last of which was unsuccessful and prevented her from continuing as a dancer.

Jessica Brown-Findlay completed her studies at the Arts Educational School in Tring Park with the help of an art instructor, and then transferred to Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design to enroll in a fine art programme.
