Naomi Elaine Campbell is an English model. She started modeling at the age of 15 and swiftly ascended to become one of the most recognizable and sought-after models of the previous four decades. Campbell was one of six models of her generation that were designated as supermodels by the fashion industry and the international press.

Naomi Campbell used to dance ballet and other dances before walking the runways for fashion houses like Versace and Vivienne Westwood. Her mother was also a dancer. She made her debut in Bob Marley's video for 'Is This Love' in 1978. Naomi Campbell began studying ballet at London's Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts at the age of ten, hoping to follow in the footsteps of her dancer mother. She, like other celebrities who wanted to be ballerinas, had to give up dancing because her height was unsuitable.
