Jirisan
Jirisan is a South Korean television series starring Jun Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon. It is titled "tvN's 15th Anniversary Special Drama" and is named after the eponymous mountain in South Korea. It aired every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 from October 23 to December 12, 2021, on tvN. (KST). The series is available for streaming on iQIYI worldwide. Jirisan was filmed with a budget of ₩32 billion (~US$27.4 million). In 2020, iQIYI attained its overseas distribution rights for over ₩25 billion, around 80% of the production costs.
Set against the backdrop of Mount Jiri's towering views, it tells the story of rangers and other Jirisan National Park employees who climb through the mountain's mysterious and unexplored regions in search of survivors and lost trekkers. The mystery surrounding the mountain's many visitors, those who come to kill and those who come to end their lives, is central to the drama. In this film, Kim Young-ok plays Lee Moon-ok, Yi-kang's grandmother and owner of a restaurant in the village.
