João Vieira Island

The other best spot to visit in Guinea-Bissau is João Vieira Island. João Vieira is an island in the Bijagós Archipelago of Guinea-Bissau. It is part of the João Vieira and Poilão Marine National Park, located 20 km northeast of the island of Poilão. It is an important nesting site for sea turtles. Protected Atlantic sea turtles move over rocks and sands to deposit their eggs.
