Kaide Sushi
Kaide's website boldly proclaims "Best Sushi in Vancouver", so it's worth a visit to decide for yourself. Those who have been there before, however, know that Kaide is one of Yaletown's hidden gems. The focus is entirely on the fresh and finely prepared Japanese food, with a simple interior.
The intimate restaurant and sushi bar focuses on local ingredients and only uses wild sockeye salmon and wild albacore tuna. When available, the butterfish is out of this world, but you can't go wrong with the assorted sushi set, hamachi, toro nigiri, unagi nigiri, uni, or tofino roll. There's something for everyone here, with rolls, sashimi, nigiri, hasomaki, donburi, and even a vegetarian menu. Make sure you order something off their special board as well.
