Toshi Sushi

Don't be put off by Toshi Sushi's small and unassuming location. The sushi here is of the same fresh, melt-in-your-mouth quality as that found in Vancouver's higher-end Japanese restaurants. Because of the delicious food and reasonable prices, there is frequently a line to get in.

The wait is tolerable, and you can order takeout if you prefer. Loyal customers rave about their box roll, sakura scallop, and spicy agedashi tofu. Order the nasu dengaku (baked eggplant) or gin tara saikyo yaki for something a little different (miso-marinated grilled cod). Check out the specials menu, which changes frequently and frequently features standouts like saba sushi.
