Kangerlussuaq, Greenland
If you want to visit Greenland, you must fly to Kangerlussuaq, which has the only international airport. Because you can fly into and stay in the city, it's an ideal place for viewing the northern lights. The northern lights have been seen up to 300 times a year in Kangerlussuaq.
Because there is almost little light pollution in Greenland, viewing is best from September to April. When compared to other places, the chances of seeing the aurora borealis are so high that a three or four-night stay in Greenland during the peak viewing window is nearly certain. There are other tour options to expand your visit to Greenland, such as combining a northern light viewing with an iceberg trip, a dog-sledding adventure, or a visit to a native settlement.
