Kawaguchi Lake
Kawaguchi is a beautiful lake in the town of Fujikawaguchiko, part of a chain of five lakes at the foot of Mount Fuji. It has the longest shore length, the lowest absolute height, the second largest, and the third deepest of the Fuji Five Lakes. Unoshima is a small island in the middle of the lake.
Currently, Kawaguchi is a popular tourist destination since it is an appropriate rest stop after the grueling adventure of ascending and descending Mount Fuji. Lake Kawaguchi is blessed with varied beauty in each season; in spring, you will see cherry blossoms, in summer, lavender flowers, and special in autumn, the entire area will be steeped in the crimson color of maple leaves.
