Rikugien
The traditional garden Rikugien is the ideal location in Tokyo to view autumn leaves. Rikugien is one of the best places in Tokyo to watch the changing hues of the maple trees in the autumn. Autumn brings beautiful autumnal colors to the scene as the garden's trees start to turn yellow, orange, and red. Particularly during the busiest time of year, Rikugien frequently has more nighttime illumination equipment to let visitors take in the landscape.
The river that flows through Tsutsuji no Chaya teahouse, behind Togetsukyo Bridge, and from the corner of Fujishirotoge is a nice site to see red leaves in Rikigien. Late November to early December is when the leaves change color, and this is also the prettiest time of year for gardens. The hours of operation at Rikugien Garden are typically from 9:00 to 17:00 every day, but when the lights are on, they stay on until 21:00, with the last entry time for guests being 20:30.
