Shirakawago

Shirakawago, an old village, is well-known for its snow-white wonderland in the winter, but it also draws travelers in the fall for its vibrant red and yellow woodlands. The village's rows of closely spaced wooden homes have gassho-zukuri architecture, and the sloped roof is thatched with grass to resemble praying hands. The roof is made to endure Shirakawago's severe winters and heavy snowfall. Shirakawago, a historic village in Gifu, Japan, is well-known for its lovely golden autumn scenery, which also makes people swoon.


Shirakawago village is very beautiful in the autumn, so come here if you want to see it all.
