Kim Kardashian (born October 21, 1980) is a media celebrity, socialite, and businesswoman from the United States. She first earned media prominence as a friend and stylist to Paris Hilton, but she gained wider attention with the 2003 sex tape Kim Kardashian, Superstar. Later that year, she and her family started appearing on the E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007–2021). Its popularity spawned the spin-off series Kourtney and Kim Take New York (2011-2012), Kourtney and Kim Take Miami (2009-2013), and Hulu's The Kardashians (2022). Kardashian has a significant online and social media following, with hundreds of millions of Twitter and Instagram followers alone. Kardashian has acted in films such as Disaster Movie (2008), Deep in the Valley (2009), and Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013).
