Kosovo festival
With the coming of summer, most vacationers leave their homes and head to the beaches for a day of fun. Even though there are no beaches in Kosovo, there are various reasons to visit during the warmer months of the year.
From July through September, the youngest country in Europe organizes a number of fascinating festivals that you should not miss. The "Pristina International Film Festival" is one of them. It is a film festival held in the capital of Kosovo every July since 2009, a year after the country's independence. The festival features foreign and local films, with a focus on the Kosovo film industry. The festival has four competitive categories: medium-length films, European feature films, documentaries, and Balkan films.
Every August, the "Sunny Hill Festival" takes place in the center of Gemia Park, popularly known as Pristina's lungs. This is a charity musical event that features famous vocalists as well as local and international performers. The Hardh Fest aims to promote regional products from Rakhovets, like as wine and raki. This is an excellent opportunity to sample delicious local food and have fun in one of the least frequented Balkan locations.
