La Goulette
Top 10 in Top 10 Most Beautiful Beaches In Tunisia
La Goulette is the port of the Tunisian capital Tunis. It was a 16th-century fortress built by Charles I of Spain, but the Ottoman Turks took the city less than half a decade later.
Today, La Goulette remains a historical attraction in Tunisia. It is close to some of the country's most famous historic landmarks, including Byrsa, the ruins of an ancient Carthaginian city; National Museum of Carthage, home to ancient art and monuments; and Antoninus' Baths, a series of 2nd-century Roman baths.
But La Goulette is mainly known for its beaches near the Mediterranean Sea. Visitors love coming here to swim, surf, and enjoy a day in the sun.
