Lac d'Aiguebelette
There are many lakeside campsites in France, but few have shorelines as well-known as those of Lac d'Aiguebelette in the Rhone-Alps area. The Lac d'Aiguebelette, a jewel of the Savoie Mont-Blanc region, dazzles tourists with its pure emerald waters and beautiful alpine surroundings. The tranquil setting of the lake lends it to fishing, and the pristine environment makes it a favorite destination.
The green, rolling hills that surround the lake are dotted with charming country villages, while the banks contain small boathouses and waterfront villas on stilts. The few settlements near the lake's quiet shores that provide great beaches are particularly tempting to tourists. Pedalos, kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards may be rented for a reasonable fee at Lac d' Aiguebelette's beach throughout the summer.
