Langkawi Sky Bridge
The marvelous Langkawi Sky Bridge in Malaysia offers breathtaking views of Machinchang Mountain. The Langkawi Sky Bridge is different from other skywalks in that it doesn’t jut out from a cliff overlooking a canyon. Instead, it is built at the top of Malaysia’s Machinchang Mountain, about 90 meters (300 feet) above the jungle. That doesn’t mean the views from this observation deck are any less spectacular, however. Visitors have stunning views of the ocean and other islands in this archipelago. A single pylon supports the 125-meter (410-foot) long skywalk.
Once you keep your mind away from the scary truth enjoy the natural beauty. Islands, the azure ocean, and the clouds create a cherished memory. The chicken hearts should give it a miss as only the daring can stop here. In July 2012, the bridge was closed for maintenance, upgrading, and structural strengthening. The whole structure would be of stainless steel, and when it is finished, it would have sections of glass walkway in the wider central curved section so that visitors may look down the valley from where they stand, and an inclined elevator or lift called SkyGlide that brings visitors from the top station down to the bridge. However, it opened in December 2015.
