Skywalk in Tianmen Mountain

Glass skywalks clinging to the high and rugged peaks of the Tianmen Mountains, the Tianmen Mountain skywalks are among the most thrilling walkways in the world. The Tianmen Mountain is located in the Tianmen Mountain National Park in China’s Hunan Province in Zhangjiajie. On November 2011, the first glass skywalk that is known as "the Walk of Faith,” opened on the 1,400 feet tall Tianmen Mountain. It is interesting to see tourists clinging to the peak wall out of fear while walking on the skywalk. Another skywalk was opened in April 2015. The walkway ends in a hanging bridge between two peaks.

800 kilometers from Shanghai, at a height of 4,700 feet, is a remote skywalk. The search for personnel willing to clean the glass floor has been fruitless despite the breathtaking views from the peaks, thus people must wear sock boots while on the skywalk. The vista is spectacular as the floor hugs the mountainside. The beauty is enhanced on clear days when the entire province can be seen. Even the most resilient tourists get frightened by the magnificent sights and terrifyingly high cliffs. Walking through this scary glass building is an unforgettable experience. Visitors are requested to wear cloth-covered shoes so as to prevent scratches on the glass and to improve grip.
