Linksys CM3024
With 24 downstream channels and 8 upstreams, the Linksys CM3024 is another high-speed alternative. That implies it could theoretically reach 960 Mbps, which is the true speed of most Gigabit cable connections.
Even when streaming and downloading huge files at the same time, speed on a 400 Mbps Xfinity line was outstanding, with no difficulties at all. This is an excellent choice for anyone with a connection speed of 300 Mbps or above.
This is, however, a more expensive alternative than many others. The build quality is decent, with some inconspicuous aesthetics and clearly labeled LEDs, all of which contribute to the price being justified. However, as far as we could tell throughout our testing, there is no user interface. This is either a bad thing because it doesn't exist, or a bad thing since it's nearly impossible to find if it does. That said, it was simple enough to set up provided you don't want a user interface.
