Motorola MB7621
The Motorola MB7621 easily kept five devices running four simultaneous bandwidth-intensive applications in our tests.
The majority of the modems we tested were nearly identical, but the Motorola MB7621 stood out. Its excellent performance, sleek yet functional design, labeled ports, sophisticated user interface, power button, clear instructions, and bundled accessories make it a very simple and effective gadget to operate.
The Motorola MB7621 has 24 downstream channels that can easily handle HD streaming, and eight upstream channels that can handle gaming and cloud computing. The MB7621 has a maximum speed of 1000 Mbps, although it's designed for internet subscriptions with a maximum speed of 650 Mbps.
We put the Motorola MB7621 through its paces on Xfinity's 400 Mbps bundle, and it performed admirably. It also includes a power button, which is absent from several of the modems we tested, as well as a coaxial connection wrench, Ethernet cable, and a hook-and-loop cord strap.
Aside from its solid specs and ease of use, the MB7621 is a decent purchase because it can save you money over nine months compared to renting a modem from your ISP, and it comes with a two-year warranty against manufacturer fault. It also incorporates lightning and power surge protection, as well as a well-ventilated shell that keeps it cool.
