Netgear CM600
With 24 downstream and eight upstream channels, the Netgear CM600 is a high-performance cable modem. This modem is also extremely ISP compatible, making it excellent if you plan to switch providers in the future.
With five devices connected at once to the 400 Mbps Xfinity connection, performance speeds were remarkable, and data transmission was handled flawlessly. An Ethernet port, reset button, coaxial connection, power input, and on/off button are located on the back of the device. That power button is a major benefit because most problems can be solved by simply turning the power off and on again.
The Netgear user interface is straightforward to use and strikes a good balance between basic and advanced capabilities.
This modem is a good deal cheaper than renting one. The CM600 is priced at around $90-$100. Xfinity charges $11 per month or $132 per year to rent their xFi Gateway, so buying the CM600 saves you over $30 over the course of its one-year guarantee, and it may live longer.
If you want to save a few dollars on a device that isn't quite as fast but is still a strong and highly compatible option, the Netgear CM500 is a wonderful alternative.
