Livadi Beach
Albania is an underappreciated gem with many beautiful beaches along its coastline, the crown jewel of which is Livadi Beach. The picturesque shoreline, deep blue watery depths, and olive trees as far as the eye can see have made this opulent retreat famous throughout the Mediterranean. Livadi Beach, reaching over 1.2 kilometers and boasting more than 6 meters of brilliant white sand, is one of Albania's largest beaches on the Southeastern Mediterranean coast. Gonia, on the beach's north side, is known for its magnificent marble stones and awe-inspiring rock formations. A charming tiny aquarium with exotic fish and stylish, yet comfortable, dining rooms is also located near the shore.
During the summer, Livadi beach becomes a local hotspot, with everything from canoes and paddle boats to jet skis stalking the blue waters and ivory white coastline. Beach volleyball is popular, with locals congregating around the San Marco bar for sunbathing on a daily basis. The entire panorama is framed by steep cliffs, which provide a full panoramic view of the glistening waves and beach scenes below. Livadi Beach is a true Mediterranean treasure, combining natural beauty with local friendliness.
