Potami Beach
Potami Beach is one of the biggest beaches in the Himarë area, with a unique combination of Greek and Albanian culture set against a backdrop of sun-kissed sand and bright blue skies. Potami means "river" in Greek, and the water that flows through here is crisp, cold, and refreshing, coming up from year-round private underground springs. For those who can't get enough of the crystal clear water, Potami Beach is also centrally placed near Llamani Beach and its majestic cliffside, which can be reached by land, kayaking, or sailing.
While the beaches are bustling with activity, the cliffs and neighboring shoreline are quiet, providing tourists with a calm refuge in which to rest and take in the area's vast natural beauty. The foliage that surrounds Potami adds to the impression of nature that pervades this length of the Albanian Riviera. There are numerous restaurants and nightclubs in the vicinity. Potami Beach's ethnic heritage is on display here, with fantastic Greek and Albanian nightclubs where you can taste local cuisine and a lively, inviting atmosphere. Potami Beach combines natural beauty and cultural diversity to create a location as refreshing as the river that passes through it.
