Loake
Since 1880, when John Loake founded the first Loake factory with his brothers, Thomas and William, the Loake family has been producing classic English shoes. Five generations and more than 130 years later, the Loake name is synonymous with beautiful, handcrafted shoes. Loake premium-grade Goodyear-welted shoes are still created in Kettering, England, in the same factory that the three brothers constructed in 1894.
However, in addition to Loake's English Goodyear-welted footwear, the business currently designs and manufactures a range of shoes outside of the UK in India, utilizing a variety of structures. This allows them to provide a whole wardrobe of shoes at a lower price range. We must state that the quality is still present.
A cursory inspection of the shoes reveals that they are in good condition, with no obvious flaws. Given their history of producing conservative and traditionally fashioned shoes, Loake appears to have a strong grasp on quality control.
