London Zoo – World’s Oldest Scientific Zoo
The London Zoo is not only one of the largest zoos in the world but also the oldest scientific zoo in the world, established in 1828 exclusively for scientific research.
The London Zoo is also not far behind in conservation efforts, as the program recently introduced here was the Tiger SOS program, which aims to raise funds to save Sumatran tigers. Opened to the public in 1847, this animal dwelling houses 16,000 animals on 36 acres of land. This is one of the largest zoos in the world!
