Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Asteroid Base's Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a space shooter game for Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, Linux, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This is a component of the ID@Xbox project. The title of the game is a reference to Bruce Cockburn's song "Lover in a Dangerous Spacetime". Players in this game can play alone or in groups of two to four. Weapons, engines, shields, Yamato cannons, and maps are all controlled by these stations. Each player has only one character to control. You must continuously move from station to station, defending the ship from attacks and attacking enemies. While playing, you may come across gift boxes containing gems. These gifts attach to the stations, it can help you get a new power, and improve your abilities,...
The game is divided into four campaigns, each with four levels and key monsters. Players must locate and free trapped animals such as frogs, ducks, rabbits, and foxes. After saving 5 animals, a heart-shaped portal appears, and the player advances to the next round. Some levels have alternate game modes in which a special engine is attached to the ship and must be protected as it transports the ship to a new area. On one level, you can save up to ten animals. Rescued creatures contribute to the ship's efficiency by allowing two gems per station or unlocking new ship layouts.
