Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz
Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, established in 1904, is an international residential school with around 220 boarding and 120 day students aged 12 to 19. The "Spirit of Zuoz" articulates the school's philosophy and expresses concepts that balance tradition and forward-thinking. It is also one of the best boarding schools in Switzerland.
The school idea is devoted to each student's individual improvement. It considers motivation, critical thinking, and creativity necessary for the learning process. In-depth discussions with professors, counselors, and tutors help students recognize and enhance their skills so that they can perform at their best.
The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz in Switzerland is known for its diverse academic offerings. Among the curricula available to students are Swiss Matura, International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP).
Spencer House, Kleinhaus, and Grosshaus for boys, and Chesa Arpiglia and Chesa Urezza for girls are among the five boarding houses at Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz.
The houses provide a safe environment for students to connect across year groups and face the challenges of school life with the support of their classmates. All five houses embrace the keyboarding ideals of Respect, Active Engagement, and Personal Responsibility, which are necessary for effective communal cohabitation.
Certified academics or autonomous student organizations supervise or support all leisure activities. Participation in recreational activities is encouraged and, in certain cases, required. Prizes are awarded at the end of the year for great achievements and outstanding community service.
The Heads of House of each of Lyceum Alpinum's separate boarding school houses have parental responsibilities and are available to their pupils 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whether it's exam stress, homesickness, or another issue, all boarding school students are free to express themselves openly to their house parents.
