Mahi Fishing Derby

This Saturday's annual fishing tournament, held in mid-April, is sponsored by the Saipan Fishermen's Association. Every year, more than 100 anglers left from Smiling Cove Marina in 30 to 40 boats early Saturday morning, returning with their catch in the early evening.

Anglers travel from all across Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands to compete for prizes in up to five different categories.
