Memories, Dreams, Reflections
Carl Gustav Jung was a prominent forefather of contemporary psychiatry. He was born in Switzerland in 1865 and studied medicine and psychiatry before becoming one of Sigmund Freud's early followers and associates. Serious theoretical conflicts (including Jung's interpretation of man's religious inclination) eventually led to a doctrinal and personal split between the two eminent psychiatrists. Dr. Jung wrote numerous publications and practiced for many years in his hometown of Zurich.
Among the best books on behavioral psychology, Memories, Dreams, Reflections by Carl Gustav Jung is an eye-opening biography of one of the twentieth century's most prominent psychiatrists, based on his lectures, chats, and personal writings.
Carl Gustav Jung began telling his life story in the spring of 1957, when he was eighty-one years old. Memories, Dreams, Reflections is the title of his book, which is made up of discussions with his colleague and friend Aniela Jaffé, as well as chapters written in his own hand and other resources. Jung worked on the manuscript until soon before his death on June 6, 1961, making it a particularly thorough perspective on a remarkable life. This copy is fully updated and includes Jung's VII Sermones ad Mortuos.
