Meridian International School
Situated in the very center of Europe, in Prague, Meridian International School (MIS) provides parents and students with a cutting-edge, multicultural, and intellectually stimulating pedagogy of learning grounded in the finest school-age European and British traditions. Meridian's traditional home is home to Kindergarten, preschool, and Primary School, which are divided into two school sites.
A more recent structure houses the high school and secondary education. Classrooms in both buildings feature high-quality school desks and digital boards. Both buildings have a computer room and a school canteen. Smaller kids can still have fun in the playground-equipped garden at the main building, but larger kids use the roomy gym in the newer building for physical activity.
The international and vegetarian school meal menus are available in the Early Years. Every student must participate in the school meal program, which consists of breakfast, lunch (main course and soup), and snacks. The kitchen staff at Early Years makes all of the breakfasts and snacks that are served fresh. Students in elementary, middle, and high school are free to bring their lunches or select from the school's international menu.
A Cambridge International Examinations Center is Meridian International School. The school takes pride in being a part of the largest global provider of international education programs and credentials for students ranging from 5 to 19 years old.
The school's involvement in the Cambridge Primary and Secondary 1 Program has allowed the school to use new assessment tools to track student progress. The Cambridge Primary Progression and Checkpoint tests and the Cambridge Secondary Progression and Checkpoint tests are open to students in grades 2 through 9. There are tests in science, math, and English. Students who complete this top-notch program will have a solid foundation for their next educational step.
After passing the exams at the end of Year 11, students at Meridian International School will receive Cambridge IGCSE qualifications, which are among the most well-liked international credentials for students between the ages of 14 and 16. Acquiring these credentials helps students develop their inquiry, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities.
The school offers Cambridge International AS and A-Level curricula for the final two years of high school, which foster in students a deep comprehension of the subjects and the ability to think independently. Schools can choose from 55 different subjects offered by Cambridge and can offer them in nearly any combination.
