Park Lane International School
Situated in Prague, the Czech Republic, Park Lane International School is an autonomous international day school. There are more than 600 students at Park Lane, representing more than 40 different countries. 54% of students are international and 46% are domestic.
Park Lane International School is regularly inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate and is an executive member of the Council of British International Schools. It is approved by the UK Department of Education and a member of the Independent Schools Council.
Children from Pre-Nursery (ages 2-3) to Year 13 (ages 16–18) are currently served by the EYFS, Primary, and Secondary campuses. Park Lane International School recently expanded to accommodate students (ages 16–18) who study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the senior school branch at the Klárov site of the Prague 1 campus. Park Lane received its IB World School accreditation in February 2018.
Despite being categorized as a British international school, Park Lane provides all students with an intensive Czech program due to its location in the Czech Republic. As mandated by Czech law, this program guarantees Park Lane students' passing of their yearly Czech state exams.
Park Lane International School offers British education to students from pre-nursery through university entrance, adhering to the National Curriculum of England. The school's faculty comprises British-trained foreign teachers in addition to local educators.
At Park Lane International School, students get ready for the Key Stage 2 National Tests and, later on in life, the Cambridge IGCSE exams and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). At Park Lane, students can study modern foreign languages through extracurricular activities in addition to the curriculum. Language options available to Park Lane students include Spanish, French, German, and Russian.
One aspect of Park Lane's educational offerings is music and art instruction. The music department provides a variety of curriculum-based and extracurricular classes for individuals as well as groups, like bands and choirs, in collaboration with the International School of Music and Fine Arts. The music department hosts the Sound of Park Lane, an annual musical extravaganza, each year.
