Tip Toes Primary School
Tip Toes Primary School (TTPS) is the next school on the list of the best British schools in Prague. A Czech-British primary school, It is officially recognized by Charles University's Faculty of Education. TTPS is a bilingual school that offers first-class instruction in both Czech and English. In September 2018, TTPS changed its name to Czech British Primary and Lower Secondary School.
The Tip Toes Primary School gives its students a strong basis for studying at eight-year grammar schools, grammar schools that focus on the English language, bilingual primary schools, or the second stage of secondary school.
The educational program at Tip Toes School is built around a series of steps that lead students from preschool through their ninth-grade year of study with success. The school places a strong emphasis on students' development of transferable skills—like social competence, work ethic, and communication—during their education.
The "A step in the right direction" educational program is built around the differentiated teaching of students based on their aptitude, potential, and interests, with an emphasis on English language acquisition.
Tip Toes Primary School uses the CLIL method to teach English. The school started using this method in the first year of instruction, which created a natural environment for teaching specialized subjects to all of the students while also fostering their language development in a bilingual setting.
One possible approach to bilingual education is the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) method, which is currently popular in the European educational system. The idea for the current CLIL approach originated with changes made to the Finnish curriculum in the mid-1990s.
Every day from 8:30 to 14:55, the kids are looked after. They receive homework once a week, which they have to finish over the weekend. There are enough kids in the class for the teachers to be able to give each one of them their whole attention.
