Michael Eisner
Michael Eisner, the former CEO of Disney, has advertised his five-acre Malibu estate for $225 million. If he can come close to that figure, it will be one of the most expensive celebrity homes in California history. The main house, a caretaker's cottage, and various guesthouses make up Eisner's beachside complex, which has 16 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms in all.
Stern, well renowned for towers like 15 Central Park West, created a 25,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion for Eisner that was more reminiscent of Provence or the French Riviera than SoCal. Its stone structures are connected by groomed gardens and courtyards and are covered with ancient terra-cotta roof tiles. The facility, which is located on a bluff overlooking a tiny cove, features an oceanfront pool with a cliffside elevator that links to a big movie theater through an underground tunnel. Eisner purchased the first bluffs piece in the mid-1990s and gradually added surrounding lots until the compound was finished in 2020. Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency, which holds the property, told AD PRO that it's “one of the finest beachfront properties in the world.”
