Mickey Mouse is an American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney, one of the most famous cartoon characters, who originally voiced the character as Ub Iwerks. Created to replace an earlier Disney character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey made his debut in the short film Plane Crazy, making his public debut in the short film Steamboat Willie (1928), one of the animated films featuring first sound.
