Mikhail Prokhorov

Mikhail Dmitrievich Prokhorov, a Russian-Israeli oligarch, billionaire, politician, and former owner of the Brooklyn Nets (born 3 May 1965), is a Russian-Israeli oligarch, billionaire, politician, and former owner of the Brooklyn Nets. In the 2012 Russian presidential election, Prokhorov ran as an independent candidate in 2011. He came in third in the voting, with 7.94 percent of the vote. In June 2012, he announced the formation of Civic Platform, a new Russian political party.
