Miss International Crown

Mikimoto Crown (1970-1998, 2015-present) - This crown was designed by Tomohiro Yamaji for the Mikimoto Company, the official sponsor of Miss International Jewelry. Contains 575.31 grams of 14K and 18K gold, 650 South Sea pearls and Akoya pearls 3 to 18 mm in diameter, priced at $350,000.


The crown was designed for the Mikimoto Pearl Island beauty pageant in Japan, and the Mikimoto crown and tiara were first used at the Miss International 2013 Miss International 2013 pageant presented by Akemi Shimomura, President of the Miss International Beauty Pageant. The crown was used again when Puerto Rico's Valerie Hernandez crowned Venezuela's Edimar Martinez as Miss International 2015.
