Mullaghmore is home to some of the biggest waves in the world. It has an excellent spectator wave, an elevated view from a close and easily accessible headland makes for a wonder of the world spectacle on the biggest of winter swells. The bottom is also steep and dangerous. The waves are here for long rides, fast action, and for tubing. It is possible to capture some great atmosphere, but it takes a lot of work. Ireland can make for some epic surfing, especially in the winter.

Mullaghmore Head is a highly erratic wave that breaks between Grange and Cliffoney, 400 meters northwest of the village of Mullaghmore, in County Sligo. Europe's popular surfing spot directly faces the North Atlantic and is extremely susceptible to strong waves generated between October and March. As Mullaghmore Head grows larger, weather conditions are also extreme - wind, rain and stormy gray skies are the norm here.
