  1. Fuerteventura is a Canary island in the Spanish archipelago. It is very peaceful, with few humble buildings before the vast nature and vast white sand. Its name is derived from the word "big wind" in Spanish, so it's easy to understand why the island gets a lot of wind. The more bouncy the board, the more challenging the waves. The shoreline shows off beautifully in its ruggedness. Fuerteventura, with its dreamy dunes, is indescribably gentle when the ocean sends a gentle, endlessly pure breeze. It is one of the most popular destinations for surfers in Europe. Many celebrities visit Fuerteventura for surfing and other outdoor activities.

For professional surfers, October to April is the big wave season, suitable for their professional level of longtime play. Although the wind blows year-round, September can still have a few calm days, which is a good time for amateurs or beginners to surf. El Cotillo is one of Fuerteventura's top surfing spots because the sandy bottom is washed away a lot in winter, resulting in big waves and new currents. It is suitable for longtime players. Beginners as well as skilled surfers will love Flag Beach. It is characterized by a thick sandy bottom with many rocks, which makes the waves stable and not too violent. Fuerteventura has more than ten beaches offering something great for all surfers.

    Sylt

Sylt is Germany's northernmost island, located near the Danish border, and has long been a resort for the wealthy elite. Sylt owns the best waves in the German Sea. Surfing fans consider it one of the best surf spots in Europe. The west coast of the island is accessible by driving or walking across the dunes. As with all North Sea countries, good waves are accompanied by strong onshore winds that help create wind waves, followed by a short spell or offshore wind - and good conditions can come and go in a few hours. SyIt is one of Germany's few surf spots due to the country's lack of a long coastline - and surfers here tend to be serious about their sport with the waters being fairly cold on average.

Sylt is the focal point of the surfing scene in Germany but the waves are fickle – especially in the summer. This place can even catch strong winds to the shore because there are two small welding torches. The bottom of the spot is sand with some rocks in the middle. Surfschule Wenningstedt - Suedkap Surfing and Surfschule Sunset Beach are best places for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing in Sylt.

  4. Surfing began to be popular in the UK and especially on the beaches of Newquay in the late 30s of the 20th century. Surfing is always dependent on weather and tides. But there is a spectacular wave, the Cribbar, that challenges the best surfers. They are really looking forward to seeing and conquering it on the UK coast. Fistral Beach is the most famous beach for surfers. It's a straight, sandy beach built by sand dunes about 750 meters West and Northwest across the Atlantic Ocean. This westward orientation like many surf beaches in the Cornish exposes Fistral to large Atlantic waves that provide steady waves throughout the year. The North end of Fistral Beach is popular with locals and more expert surfers. The middle and south end of the beach allows for plenty of room for beginners to practice.

It's a terrific idea to give surfing a try, and there are many reputable surf shops that can assist you from getting your first surfboard to riding the waves. Lessons often last for a half-day or a full day, and boards and diving equipment are frequently included in the cost. Numerous businesses are also able to provide packages that include lodging and extended study times. From May to September, lifeguards are present on the beaches until 6:00 p.m. Always pay attention to any announcements from the beach administration, as well as the flags designating the finest surfing spots.

  5. The province of Guipuzcoa, with its capital San Sebastian, is a blend of sea and mountains, offering visitors scenery, sports and food, as well as interesting monuments. The streets of San Sebastian town center open onto La Concha Bay. This is a great vantage point for views of the city. It is often known as one of the most beautiful urban beaches in Europe. It is sheltered from the attacks of the Atlantic by Mount Urgull and Mount Igueldo, on its flanks, and by Santa Clara Island located in the center of the bay. San Sebastián and other coastal areas in the province of Gipuzkoa are home to some veritable havens for the worldwide popular sport.

Several beaches are suitable for surfing, regardless of your level. And in San Sebastian, you'll always find that perfect wave. San Sebastian is almost certainly the country’s most iconic surfing town. There’s an abundance of cool hostels and surf camps that we think do enough to elevate to the top of the list for would-be holidaymakers on the hunt for waves. The Cantabrian Coast has the conditions any surf enthusiast is looking for wind, waves and breathtaking beaches. Furthermore, the surfing culture and the essence of the Basque Country - the towns, villages and traditional cuisine - always happily blend together.

  6. You can surf in the city at the English Garden, in the heart of Munich. One of the largest urban parks in the world also known for its surfing. It has a river near Prinzregentenstraße that attracts many surfers, facing the strong waves and currents of Eisbach. Englischer Garten is an enchanting park where you can do a lot of things such as lying in the sun, soaking in the bathtub, admiring ducks and fish swimming in the clear water, visiting historic buildings, playing sports, relaxing in the playground, enjoying good local beer - a vegan treat at Fräulein Grüneis and especially surfing.

At one of the man-made streams flowing through the Englischer Garten, there was a standing wave created by the change from laminar to turbulent flow. Surfers lined up along the shore one after another into the water with their boards. At the southern end of the English Garden, next to the Haus der Kunst, the Eisbach River forms a 1m-high wave. There are usually about a dozen very experienced surfers taking turns riding the waves. In addition, tourists will have a great walk and small picnics. Large gardens with walkways, lakes and beer gardens make you relax, get far away from the noisy city.

    Perros

With 13 kilometers of coastline and three fine sand beaches, Perros is a paradise for families and water sports fans. Around the corner is Ploumanac'h, a former fishing village that has become a magnet for tourists. It gives visitors an almost unbelievable scene, because it is so beautiful. Those with friends or family head to Perros-Guirec to surf and also watch professional surfers on the regularly held International Surfing Day here. For the best waves, visitors should surf from late September to late May. This is a beautiful and welcoming destination, enjoying the scenery and company of friendly Bretons. Do not miss the buckwheat pancakes and cider.

This is a beautiful hike along Brittany's pink granite coast. The trail itself is well marked and the restoration they have done over the years is being finalized. Easily climb and explore the granite outcrops and pretty wildflowers in bloom. Impressive rocky shoreline with a lighthouse entrance, and there is easy parking nearby. Follow directions as the entrance is narrow and it is easy to get lost through the parking lot. You can also plan the motorcycle route around Brittany. The view is simply stunning on a warm June evening and beautiful sunset.

    Jæren

Norway is known for its exceptional landscape with majestic mountains and peaks, beautiful fjords, seas and secluded bays, beaches and unspoiled lands. Jæren is located in the South and is the largest flat lowland in Norway. Be prepared for cold, air and water conditions, bring the thickest possible wetsuit (i.e.7 mm) along with boots, hood and gloves. You'll be lucky enough to have long, empty viewpoints with unrivaled arctic views. The best surfing season is from fall to spring, the weather is not too harsh, and the waves are also very nice.

Norway has been called a “rare surfing frontier”, Arctic winds can be extremely harsh. Norway’s fourth-largest city is known for being a great surfing spot. Unlike the rest of the mostly rocky Norwegian coast, Jæren does have rocky shores, bergs and boulder reefs. It has long sandy beaches perfect for rushing into the waves. The best surf spots in the country are found along the beaches of Jæren, with a stretch of long, sandy beaches along with granite and pebble reefs. Spots range from easy and gentle beginner beaches to challenging pebble spots. In the summer, long periods of light mean round-the-clock activity and are the perfect time for beginners.

  9. Ireland has some of the best surf spots in Europe. The shores are where the waves first reach when coming from the North Atlantic. They are especially powerful with the power of the Gulf Stream behind them. It's important to note that professionals should only surf at Mullaghmore as this stretch has some of the biggest waves.

Mullaghmore is home to some of the biggest waves in the world. It has an excellent spectator wave, an elevated view from a close and easily accessible headland makes for a wonder of the world spectacle on the biggest of winter swells. The bottom is also steep and dangerous. The waves are here for long rides, fast action, and for tubing. It is possible to capture some great atmosphere, but it takes a lot of work. Ireland can make for some epic surfing, especially in the winter.

Mullaghmore Head is a highly erratic wave that breaks between Grange and Cliffoney, 400 meters northwest of the village of Mullaghmore, in County Sligo. Europe's popular surfing spot directly faces the North Atlantic and is extremely susceptible to strong waves generated between October and March. As Mullaghmore Head grows larger, weather conditions are also extreme - wind, rain and stormy gray skies are the norm here.

  10. If you love surfing, then Sardinia is the place for you. It has some of the best waves in the Mediterranean and has become a popular destination for surfers from all over Europe. Plus, it's also one of Italy's most beautiful islands. It is even called little Australia by some surf enthusiasts.

The wave is most stable in the winter months (i.e.November - April). The best time to surf is from December to February as this is when wind conditions tend to be milder than usual. Also known as “La Festa dei Moros” or “Red Whale Festival,” this long weekend hosts a whale festival from November 1 to 5. In the summer, you can relax on the beach on sunny days and enjoy the waves on the windy beach. It also has many cultural sites and hiking trails that you can explore while on the island.

The West coast in Sardinia is where the magic happens. That long, zigzag coastline is perfectly positioned to suck up anything created by wind or ocean waves refracting to the west. This is the golden time when local professional surfers will be present and compete with each other.

  11. Klitmøller is located at the northwestern tip of Denmark and has a population of less than 1000. Away from the tourist areas and big cities, you're sure to get a true feel for Danish culture while being able to catch some waves of the North Sea. A surf trip to Klitmøller is a good option for someone looking for a cultural change to your usual surf trip. Therefore, you should try to do an all-European surfing trip, and Klitmøller is one of them.

The best time to surf Klitmøller, Denmark is definitely in the winter. From November to March, the North Sea has the best waves and the temperature is obviously much colder while the summer will be very unstable but with more pleasant temperatures. During these colder months, the North Sea has the largest and more stable waves than in the summer months. In this respect, the sea gives surfers a chance to enjoy themselves as they will have a better idea of what to expect. Also, because of the steady flow of the waves, any visitor to Klitmøller will not be disappointed in the opportunity to surf. There are no crowds on the beach, although Klitmøller has become more attractive thanks to the efforts of Ramus Johnsen and other surfers who have integrated the surfing community.

  12. Lofoten, Norway, is known for having the best waves in the country. Windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing all take place in this beautiful Nordic archipelago, where the water offers fun activities for all ages and levels. Surfing enthusiasts can enjoy what may be the most beautiful cold water surf spot in the world. In addition to enjoying the exciting waves, surfers can view and explore stunning fjords, breathtaking and picturesque landscapes and stunning views, not to mention the Northern Lights.

The best time to surf at Lofoten is from November to March. Lofoten is a place to experience inside the heaviest-weight hooded wetsuit with neoprene gloves and boots. In early April, the crescent-shaped bay facing west into the Norwegian Sea is the heart of the surfing world. The Lofoten Islands have become the ideal model for all kinds of cold-water surfing. The waves were first surfed in the mid-1960s.

The mountainous islands are 100 kilometers off the northern coast of Norway, plunging straight into the wild North Atlantic ocean. They wait for the arrival of autumnal waves, which then transform into some beautiful waves over the mountains, rocks, coral reefs and sand. Only from autumn to winter do underground waves have a regular, average period. Located very high in the Arctic Circle, it is mainly where the winds blow from southwest to north. In the summer, when the wave stability indicators are too low to plan a surf trip.
