National Taiwan University
The College of Veterinary Medicine at National Taiwan University (SVM), reorganized from the Department of Veterinary Medicine on August 1, 2008, is not only a milestone in the innovation of veterinary education in Taiwan, but also an important step back to Taiwan's International School of Development veterinary education.
This is an essential step towards the regulation and prevention of zoonotic diseases, the protection of food safety for animal products, the introduction of modern veterinary methods, the identification of issues related to animal welfare, and the expansion of laboratory knowledge about animals. It is also significant to develop a system of veterinary specialties and continuing education. SVM includes three organizations: Department of Veterinary Sciences and Research Institute (Bachelor's Program since 1942, Master's Program since 1968, Doctoral Program since 1977) and Institute of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (Master's Program since 2007). Institute of Molecular and Comparative Pathological Biology (Master from 2011).
