Nghinh Ong Festival

Coming to the South, we want to recommend Nghinh Ong Festival, a traditional festival held to honor "His Excellency Ca Ong", also known as Nam Hai General, attracting a large number of people to attend the festival.

The atmosphere of preparation for Nghinh Ong festival was held in an atmosphere of joy, excitement and solidarity from families to Van Lach Association and all levels of government of the city and district. Roads, parks, markets, communal houses, temples, shrines ... are repaired spaciously, cleanly, banners, slogans, and festival flags are decorated lively and splendidly... At the places where the festival takes place, the local government coordinates to support the preparation of the ceremony ground, organizes exhibitions of the district's achievements in marine development during the year, prepares the stage for performing arts, folk games, playgrounds for children, and sets up a theater to welcome guests and delegates.

Fishermen's families, especially those on both sides of the road, set up tables in front of their houses with offerings of incense, fruits, rice, salt to offer to the God with the belief that his return will bring blessings to them, to their relatives and to the fishermen at sea.
