North South University

North South University (NSU), Bangladesh's first private university, was founded in 1992 with the goal of filling the gap in higher education in the country's private sector. During its inception, the ambition was to establish a world-class university as a center of excellence in higher education. Today, NSU has grown into a regional educational giant, with over 22,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

NSU is divided into four schools (School of Business and Economics, School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and School of Health and Life Sciences), each of which offers 23 undergraduate and 16 graduate programs throughout the year in a tri-semester format.

The average cost of attending NSU as a student is also comparable to the cost of attending other private institutions in Bangladesh. In addition, the cost of an undergraduate student is expected to be between $1800 and $3000 every academic year. Furthermore, students might receive financial assistance in the form of academic scholarships, tuition waivers, study loans, and student employment.

NSU's bustling campus, located on 5.5 acres of beautifully manicured property, features state-of-the-art amenities and stands out as an eminent university campus in Dhaka. More than 120 classrooms, lecture theaters, and exam halls equipped with cutting-edge teaching aids are housed on the 1.2 million-square-foots floor space. It provides WiFi across campus as well as a fully automated library.

NSU is at the vanguard of several research programs, with autonomous cells and studies in Public Health, Environmental Sciences, and Public Policy. NASA has been an important collaborator in the field of research, funding programs and research works in related fields.
