O Cinema South Beach
O Cinema is a nonprofit, independent, community-based arthouse cinema in Miami-Dade County and the Beaches that features first-run films, programming, and events. Their objective is to provide viewers with films that are engaging, entertaining, and of high quality that they would not otherwise see in South Florida. They work hard to ensure that the films they show reflect their varied community and that the costs are affordable for the widest possible audience. They believe in the potential of cinema to transform communities and lives. They aim to entertain, educate, and inspire through a powerful platform of creative, innovative, and engaging activities.
O Cinema operates with three core philosophies:
- It will provide intriguing, entertaining, and superior-quality films that audiences will otherwise not see in Miami-Dade County.
- Ensure that prices are accessible to the broadest possible audience.
- Transform Miami-Dade by creating a cultural beacon that offers films of interest to all demographics.
Aside from a regular schedule of rotating new works, special events are given to engage new audiences while keeping you committed to their creative vision. These programs relate to the needs and interests of children, families, young adults, and the elderly. In addition to the normal program of new works, there are occasional screenings of notable classics, seldom-seen pieces, and freshly restored masterworks throughout the year.
