Obi-Wan Kenobi

An American television miniseries called Obi-Wan Kenobi was created for the streaming service Disney+. Ewan McGregor makes his return as Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The series follows Kenobi as he sets out to rescue the kidnapped Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) from the Galactic Empire, leading to a confrontation with his former apprentice, Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen). It is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005).

Obi-Wan Kenobi was the most-watched series premiere for the streaming service during its first weekend, according to Disney. Between May 27 and 30, "Part I", according to Samba TV, was watched in 2.14 million American households, surpassing the premieres of both The Book of Boba Fett (1.5 million) and The Mandalorian's second season (2.08 million).
