‘Ohana Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 cups french or ‘Ohana breakfast bread

How to make

  • Combine eggs, milk, salt, sugar, and nutmeg in a bowl. Place aside.
  • Slice the bread into medium (about 2-inch) pieces and set them on a baking sheet. Place in a 350° oven.
  • Toast bread for around 15 minutes in the oven. Take off the bread and dip it in the milk and egg mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a prepared 10-inch cake pan and bake it for an hour at 325 degrees.
  • Give it 5 minutes to stand before serving hot with ice cream.
